Questions to answer before choosing a CRM
CRM implementation does not end with buying software. First clarify how the team identifies, follows up and resolves opportunities.
What are your sales stages?
Define entry and exit conditions for each stage. A stage called negotiation cannot support dependable reporting when every colleague interprets it differently.
What information is actually necessary?
Collect information that supports a decision or a next action. Excessive unused fields reduce recording quality. Assign responsibility for keeping important information current.
How will you evaluate adoption?
Actual team use, opportunities without follow-up, data completeness and response times can be useful early measures. Start with a limited workflow, learn from the team and expand from there.
